The Sales Education Foundation has announced the recipients of ten individual scholarships. Made possible by outside donations, the ten $1,000 gifts recognize students who demonstrated an understanding of the importance of sales education. “Our scholarships demonstrate our commitment to the future workforce by helping deserving, dedicated students focus on their educations at a time when college costs are rising faster than inflation,” said Jeanne Frawley, Executive Director of the SEF. Students from all universities were eligible for the awards, provided they were pursuing sales education in the 2012-13 school year. Applicants answered three questions highlighting the most measurable differences a sales education makes for students and their employers. “Sales education provides the fundamental skills for success in any career,” according to recipient Kaelyn Iciek-Nicks (Michigan State University). “After experiencing sales education first-hand, I am able to adapt to new environments at a rapid pace, maintain consultative relationships, and think of innovative solutions for a diverse audience.” Recipients include: Ryan Baroody (Salisbury University) Rebecca Hard (Western Michigan University) Kaelyn Iciek-Nicks (Michigan State University) Justin Jawor (Northern Illinois University) Garrett Lee (University of Cincinnati) Brian Little (Western Michigan University) Jessica Moreno (University of Houston) Joseph Russell (Western Michigan University) Megan Smith (University of Washington) Martez Williams (University of Cincinnati) The Sales Education Foundation is a component fund of The Dayton Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
